- Summer Rose Wins Champion of Champions
We are so proud to announce that Summer Rose won the Triple Crown of the Feathered Classic. She won Grand Champion Mare, Supreme Champion Horse, and finished up with Champion of Champions 2009-2010! The other Stillwater Girls rocked as well. Pia won first in her conformation class. Mia won first and Ruby took second in their halter class for two and three year old fillies. Mia and Pia won First and Second in Bred by Owner. Summer, April, Mia, and Pia won First, Second, Third, and Fourth respectively in North American Bred. That makes a breeder extremely proud of their horses! DJ won First in his age group as well. We had five entries in the Mare Championship -every Stillwater mare and filly made it to the Championship. Summer took Grand and April took Reserve! Marvin, Felicia and I showed the horses In Hand.
Thursday was the performance division of the show. We started the morning with Dressage Tests A and B for Summer Rose, April Rose, and Ruby with Mihran riding. Summer Rose won Second, Ruby won Third, and April won Fourth place in their tests. From there we went straight into Obstacles in Hand and Under Saddle where Summer and Mia placed First and Second. Stillwater stayed in the ribbons all day with April Rose and Summer Rose showing in Western and Summer Rose showing in English. Felicia and Marvin did an excellent job of riding and presenting the horses.
The show was a great success. There were so many new farms that were very well represented. We saw old friends and met new ones as well! Congratulations to the exhibitors from Westmoreland Farms, Villa Vanners, The Pelton Vanners, Belle-Reid Farm, Excalibur Elite Equine, Shamrock, The T N T Drill Team, Amazing Grace Farm, Pegasus Place, Big Pine Farm, WR Ranch, Inspired Gypsy Horses, Legacy Vanners, West Hill Ranches, and many more!

I am so proud of little Summer and pleased with what you and Felicia are doing with her. I knew she was one of the best foals I had ever produced. Summer needs to watch her back though—she’s got a little half sister here, Cordelia Rose, who’s going to start her show career soon.

Hi Mary,
Thank you so much! Summer is truly a special mare, inside and out. I can’t wait to meet Cordelia Rose and look forward to seeing you soon! Take care.

All Creatures Great & Small featured the episode with the gypsy vanner horse on public broadcasting tv last Sunday, & it was like seeing your sleek black ( & white ! ) beauty.
I was having kind a a nothing’s-going-right day, and then there you were on my screen and now life is good again.
Congratulations!

I believe CONGRATULATIONS are in order! You must (and should) be so very proud of all of your girls! Would LOVE to schedule a day trip to come up and visit. I’m only a couple of hours away. Keep up the wonderful work with your fabulous Gypsies!
